To note from the Legends continuity, it's believed that the yellow coloring was indicative of a Mandalorian seeking revenge, and the red signified the desire to honor one's parentage. The rest of Fett's ensemble has changed, as well. Instead of the gray fabric and body stocking he wore underneath his classic armor, Fett opted to wear black instead, which definitely makes the restored armor stand out even more. The black underlayer also serves to be arguably more intimidating than the more neutral grey, which should be helpful for the future as Fett looks determined to make a name for himself as a new crime lord on Tatooine, taking the place of Bib Fortuna and Jabba the Hutt before him.
It's also important to note the elements that are longer present, as well. While Boba's new look is quite impressive, he no longer has his brown shoulder cape, nor the long braids of Wookie scalps he wore to mark his reputation as a fearsome hunter. It's more than likely that both of these pieces did not survive their time in the Sarlacc's digestion system.
However, it doesn't seem as though Fett needs them, as his restored armor and more streamlined look aren't lacking by any means. It certainly appears as though this is Boba Fett's final form, or close to it, and it's doubtful very many fans have qualms about that.
Boba Fett's return was meant to be a showstopper, and the improved armor is a huge contributor to that success in The Mandalorian. More FS Movie News ». View all Movies Sites. More TV News ». Fans learned a bit more about his origins and backstory in George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy as well as in the Clone Wars animated series, but his story arc after the original trilogy has been up for discussion. Years after he fell into a sarlacc pit, Boba Fett re-emerged on Tatooine without his armor, which had been found by the Jawas and later sold to the Marshal of Mos Pelgo, Cobb Vanth.
He only wanted a suit strong enough to help him defeat the mining collective, and that's precisely what he got in Boba Fett's armor. However, in addition to the armor being damaged, an upgrade of sorts was made to it. It is requested that this article, or a section of this article, be expanded. Boba Fett's armor was a suit of customized Mandalorian armor worn by Boba Fett , a cloned human bounty hunter.
Boba went on to paint the armor in distinctive colors and use it throughout his bounty hunting career. Although Boba survived being eaten by a sarlacc , his armor was scavenged by Jawas who sold it to Cobb Vanth. Din Djarin later claimed it on behalf of his people, causing Boba to track the Mandalorian to Tython where he reclaimed it while fighting against Moff Gideon 's stormtroopers. Djarin recognized Boba's claim to the armor upon reading the chain code stored within it.
The armor was originally worn by Jango Fett, a foundling whom Boba Fett was cloned from. The customized Mandalorian armor [11] that was worn in turn by Jango Fett and Boba Fett [3] featured an arsenal of deadly weaponry.
The wrist gauntlet included retractable wrist blades , a snare, [11] a Czerka Arms ZX miniature flame projector , a BlasTech Industries Dur wrist laser , [1] a display that was connected to Imperial Enforcement DataCore to help locate bounties , [12] and a Kelvarek Industries MM7 rocket launcher [13] which was later replaced with a MM9 mini concussion rocket launcher.
The armor was forged from durasteel [7] and beskar. After recovering his armor in 9 ABY , Boba promptly restored it, giving it a new paintjob. During the armor's use by Boba in the Imperial Era , he wore braids on it made from Wookiees who he had defeated in combat. The armor contained a chain code within the left wrist gauntlets. The encoded file held information regarding the armor's owners, from Jango to Boba Fett. Boba Fett's armor was inherited from his clone template , Jango Fett, who received it from the Mandalorians after he became a foundling.
