Who is nemesis prime

In the Transformers comics published by IDW, one of the earliest antagonists was Nova Prime - the first Prime after the original Thirteen, Nova led an expedition aboard space ship the Ark , intending to begin a new age of Cybertronian expansion. However, he and his compatriots entered a portal to the Dead Universe, where they were enslaved by the monstrous D-Void.

Chosen by his new master to wield "the Darkness" as a counterpart to the Matrix he'd once carried, Nova became Nemesis Prime.

After the death of D-Void, Nemesis was trapped in the Dead Universe, but his attempts to escape meant he still posed a threat - that is, until the crossover event "Dark Cybertron," where he was finally slain for good by Optimus Prime. Alternate dimensions are a common storytelling device in soft sci-fi, particularly "mirror dimensions" where characters' moralities are swapped. The Transformers version of this phenomenon was first used in the comic "Shattered Glass.

The Shattered Glass Optimus Prime, with a purple and black color scheme reminiscent of Nemesis, is a sadist who revels in torture and warfare, displaying the bodies of his victims like prized trophies.

Like his Armada forebear, the Nemesis Prime of Transformers: Prime was a puppet created in Optimus Prime's image to destroy the being who'd inspired his visage. After MECH learned of the Transformers' existence, their goal became replicating the Cybertronians - after build-up throughout Prime 's first two seasons, their plans came to fruition in an episode titled after their creation. Controlled by organization leader Silas, Nemesis Prime was used to frame the Autobots for acts of terror.

Nemesis Prime often called Black Convoy in Japan is the name of several fictional characters from the Transformers series. He is usually depicted as an evil Decepticon who is a black version of Optimus Prime.

He should not be confused with Robots in Disguise Scourge , a similar character. Nemesis Prime was introduced in as part of the Armada line. He has a Mini-Con partner named Run-Over. In "Puppet" in the Armada series, Nemesis Prime was a monstrous Transformer, controlled by Sideways , sent to kill the Autobots and Decepticons while they were on their way to Cybertron. It scanned the minds of the Transformers that landed on the planet it was waiting on to ambush them and took the form of Optimus Prime as he was the most powerful and respected in all their minds.

As a duplicate of Optimus Prime, Nemesis had all of Prime's strength and power - in addition to his ability to reconstruct himself. Nemesis Prime subsequently attacked and decimated the two sides, leaving most of the Transformers heavily damaged.

However, they were then restored and their abilities enhanced by the powers of their Mini-Cons , and Nemesis Prime was subsequently destroyed by the power of Optimus Prime powerlinked with Overload and Galvatron , the newly reformatted form of Megatron.

Here, he was used in gun mode, to help Nemesis Prime create an artifact called the "Doomstone," made of the death agonies of their victims. The Doomstone is an artifact of immense power, capable of destroying a soul-dimension such as the Linkage. If destroyed, the energy released could also wipe out all life on a plane. Nemesis Prime of the Universe line is the form taken by Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime after being defeated by Megazarak and tortured by Unicron.

He later took on the name Black Convoy. In Japan he is known as Convoy Super Black. Set free by the black hole created by Unicron 's death in Transformers: Cybertron , Nemesis Prime and Ramjet journeyed to the nearly deserted Cybertron.

Attacking Alpha Trion , Vector Prime and their dimensionally displaced ally Sentinel Maximus , their sinister plan was soon revealed - they intended to use the Dead Matrix to drain the lifeforce of Primus himself and use it to revive their master Unicron. As Ramjet and Vector Prime duelled high above Cybertron, Nemesis Prime entered the Spark chamber of Primus, only to be confronted by a very unexpected foe - Omega Prime , who stopped him draining all of Primus' lifeforce.

Prime then split into Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus , with Magnus battling and defeating the Herald of Unicron, forcibly putting him into stasis, while his brother attended to Primus.

With Ramjet defeated and exiled to another dimension by Vector Prime it seemed that the Heralds' quest was a failure. Nemesis Prime first appeared in the animated series Transformers: Armada , created as a dark reflection of the Autobot leader who wanted to eliminate everything in sight, regardless of what side his targets were on.

Following his initial appearance, Nemesis appeared in the series Transformers: Prime , in which he was created by the United States government. Regardless of what iteration the dark version of Optimus receives, he has always been a powerhouse and remains a fan favorite villain within the lore of Cybertron. It made another retreat when the real Autobots showed up, though the damage was done: many of the base's vehicles were destroyed and the blame was on Optimus Prime.

Optimus confronted it in combat after the other Autobots had been defeated. After a lengthy battle, it seemed that Nemesis Prime had the advantage since it was impervious to pain. But before Nemesis could finish off his foe, Silas had to vacate the robot's control chair to battle Agent Fowler, who had made his way into the building and taken out the other MECH members in the room. Nemesis was left immobile in the interim, allowing Optimus to gain the upper hand. After defeating Fowler, Silas desperately jumped back into the chair, but was too late.

Optimus smashed Nemesis through the roof of MECH's base, crushing both the equipment controlling it and Silas himself. The heavily wounded MECH leader was pulled to safety by his men.

Nemesis Prime's body was placed in storage by the military.
