I have not had it prepared like this before. I am curious if I would enjoy the texture more if I attempted this. Double wrap the meat in plastic and foil as an extra precaution. Because bacteria grow rapidly at room temperature, it's never a good idea to thaw meat on the counter. Instead, allow at least 24 hours or more to thaw the pork in the refrigerator.
